The markets yesterday remained directionless
The markets
yesterday remained directionless and even give up all of its gain as of lack in
the movement in the front line stocks. Buying was seen in the mid cap and small
cap sectors but movements in the stocks were capped as the investors remained
sluggish. Nifty closed at 6291 down
around 22 points. But the market breadth remained positive as there were seen
1365 stocks advancing against 1155 stocks declining. The Mid cap closed down around 0.06% while
the small cap sector closed up around 0.20%. The volatility index stood at 15.08
up around 2.86%.

respectively. The loser sectors were Realty
and Banking sector which closed down
around 1.70% and 0.81%.
BHEL and Coal
India were the gainers in the stock’s
front ended up around 4.13% and 2.72% respectively. The losers on the other end were DLF and ACC
closed down around 3.38% and 2.56% respectively.
The FIIs were
net buyers in the cash segment, bought shares worth Rs 295.76 crore on 27,
Friday December 2013. On the other hand the DIIs were net sellers on 27 December
2013, sold shares worth Rs 159.85 crore as per the provisional data from the
stock exchanges.
The European
markets were trading higher and the US index futures were trading in
red.
